Common questions

Why is my step total empty or unchanged?

Steps reads from Apple HealthKit. Confirm that your iPhone has step samples and that Steps can read Steps data in Health access settings. HealthKit protects read-access choices, so the app cannot distinguish a denied request from a day with no readable samples.

Why did a reminder arrive later than the selected interval?

The interval is the earliest time Steps asks iOS for another opportunity. iOS decides when background work runs, and step-count HealthKit background delivery has a system-enforced hourly minimum. Opening the app refreshes the total.

Does Steps upload my Health data?

No. Health data and app history stay on your device. Steps has no account, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or remote push service.

How do I change my goal?

Open Settings, choose a quick goal or enter an exact value, and save. The new goal applies to today and future days; earlier history keeps its original goal.

Is Steps medical monitoring?

No. Steps is a fitness utility and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, clinical monitoring, or medical advice.
